Man Charged with Firearm Pled to Misprision of Felony Asks for Time Served US 3 Years Probation

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 25 รข€“ A man who was charged in a conspiracy to traffic guns from Pennsylvania to the Bronx was allowed to plead guilty to misprision of felony, concealing his knowledge of his co-defendant's unlawful possession of a firearm.

It's a far cry from the detailed Complaint in the case, complete with slang translations such as that "bousin" means "close friend" and "ion get the bread" means "I don't have the money."

White shoe defense counsel from Paul Weiss wants no jail time and no term of probation on September 25.

The US Attorney's Office wrote in and asked for no jail time - but three years probation with six months of curfew, saying this co-defendant purchased guns for the named defendant.

Inner City Press has been following the case.

The case is USA v. Celestine, et al., 1:25-cr-321 (Ramos)
