Amid UN Colombia Mission Scandals National Staff Told They Mean Nothing to Guterres HQ by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack UN GATE,
Sept 25 â How corrupt is
today's UN under Antonio
Guterres? Today's follow up,
just after the UN again
blocked Inner City Press from
entry even with a confirmed
invitation to an event about
international law, is yet once
again on his mission in
Colombia, about which his
spokespeople Stephane Dujarric
and Melissa Fleming refuse all
Press questions. Inner City
Press has asked them, and
others, about the newest sex
abuse case against the UN
there. Now this, from UN
whistleblowers through Inner
City Press: "You have a recording of an interview made by CDU Federico Ledesma and Ana Maria Isaza to a national staff, during an investigation against the corruption and harassment of Jaime Muñoz, now happily enjoying early retirement protected by Ledesma, Mar Brusola and the sad Yang Wang who still struggling to learn basic phrases in spanish. During this interview the national staff questioned why Ledesmas and OIOS have been turning a blind eye to all of the reports against Muñoz, male International staff being accused by more than 7 Colombian staff and contractors and even by a military observer, while being quick and swift to open and investigation against female chief supply chain accused by two International staff with no evidence. The question by the national staff enraged Ledesma who started berating her and telling her that national staff has no right to question the methods of the UN. These behaviors should be known by President Abelardo de la Espriella as well as by the UN ambassador Mauricio Gaona. UNVMC has not only been a focus of corruption it has mistreated and abused Colombian staff time and time again causing more than two staff members to require psychiatric treatment as the result of the harassment and another being physically incapacitated for life."
