in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.

Lee, Many thanks for exposing
corruption in UN under Antonio
Guterres and his cronies like
Volker Turk Guterres does not
hide his corruption as he
seeks approval for a 4 year
extension of his friend and
ultimate bureaucrat Volker
Turk. This is the consequence
of lack of oversight by member
states. Management
accountability is nowhere to
be seen in today's UN. For the last four
years Volker Turk has wasted
tax payers moneys resulting in
over 300 staff being fired and
losing emblematic Palais
Wilson (rumored to be occupied
by UNHCR!). He has
systematically favored and
promoted his friends and
favorites, merit is no
criteria in OHCHR. Volker Turk
has created a toxic atmosphere
in OHCHR where either you are
one of his favorites or you
can lose your job. His pedantic
messages are ignored by member
states that keep reducing
their contributions to the
Office. For four years he has
been selective about his
public voice so that his post
would not be questioned. In
contrast he has been obsessive
with certain countries when
there was no risk for him. He
has championed appeasement
hidden under quiet diplomacy
when in reality it was all
self preservation. Volker Turk
has permitted a system of
endogamic appointments by the
Human Rights Council. He has
been a disastrous High
Commissioner for the last four
years but that is not enough.
He wants more. On Friday the
General Assembly will decide Amb Waltz, the
ball is on your court." Fat chance. So far,
nothing from Mike Waltz,
previously seen skydiving in
France then on a lone Sunday
show on CBS, unannounced -
self-booked? Now he has
blithely signed the UN
Charter. Meanwhile both Big
Tony and Amina junketed on
April 15 to the IMF which
Inner City Press is accredited
to cover, and at which it
asked questions - but not of
Tony, as UNCTAD denied Inner
City Press to its "side
event." The UN is dying, or
being killed off. There's a new
NextSG candidate, Maria
Fernanda Espinosa. Two days
ago she and her sponsor
Antigua and Barbuda were sent
a questionnaire about about
this. So far, nothing. Watch
this site. Inner City Press
re-applied to re-enter the UN
on June 19, 2025 - no answer
at all from Melissa Fleming,
Tel Mekel, Stephane Dujarric
for six months, then a denial
with no reason at all given.
Today's UN is corrupt.
