SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 17 รข€“ A man from Mali who was detained by ICE after his immigration court hearing on March 2 on July 17  filed a habeas corpus petition in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it.

The petition says, "Respondent currently holds Mr. Tangara at the NYC Hold Room at 26 Federal Plaza." For four and a half months?

The case was assigned to Judge Denise L. Cote, who ordered the petitioner not to be moved from SDNY, EDNY or DNJ absent further order of the court.

The case is Tangara v. Francis, et al., 1:26-cv-6056 (Liman)
