SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 20 รข€“A woman from Uzbekistan was detained by ICE in 26 Federal Plaza on February 19.

She filed a habeas corpus petition in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on February 20, where Inner City Press found it.

The case was assigned to Judge John P. Cronan who issued an order for the US Attorney's Response by February 27.

The petition says she entered the US "without inspection approximately seven miles west of the Lukeville, Arizona point-of-entry on November 7, 2022." She sought to be released immediately.

Later on February 20 her Philadelphia-based lawyer filed a one page Notice of Voluntary Dismissal, without prejudice to re-filing.

What happened? Inner City Press remains on the case(s).

This case is Iroda Nurullaeva v. Francis, et al., 1:26-cv-14248 (Cronan)
