Man from El Salvador Detained by ICE on Feb 9 Now Files SDNY Habeas Petition

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 18 รข€“A man from El Salvador who has been in the US since 2006 was detained by ICE on February 9

On March 18 he filed a habeas corpus petition in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it. 

  The filing says that he is the proud father of two US citizen children. His lawyer is based in Mineola on Long Island.

  The case was assigned to Judge Ronnie Abrams.

This case is Melgar-Cruz v. Noem, et al., 1:26-cv-2222 (Abrams)
