In OHCHR of Volker Turk Staff Say He Fired Young Women to Service Old Tony Cronies by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack UN GATE, March 8 –  How corrupt and decrepit has the UN system become under Antonio Guterres, in this case due to Guterres? Today's example is again from the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights, to which Guterres appointed his unqualified crony Volker Turk more than two years ago.  From OHCHR staff: "Dear Matthew Russell Lee, We are so grateful for your tireless efforts to expose corruption in Guterres’s UN. Today, SG’s crony and ultimate UN bureaucrat, Volker Turk posted another one of his empty messages celebrating International Women’s Day. Narcissist Turk is a paramount example of double standards in todays UN: while he celebrates international womens day he has fired over 100 young female colleagues (including some with heath conditions and even pregnant, and, of course, whistleblowers) and he has awarded all director posts last year to his male friends and favorites. How many young women had to been dismissed so that Matthias Behnke, Scott Campbell or Michael Camilleri were promoted? Turk personifies todays UN double standards. He has turned OHCHR into a cleptocracy where only his cronies survive. Turk cares about women’s rights as much as his protector Guterres does (Guterres, “Mr Gender in Chief” who allowed the Sophocles case!). Volker Turk’s term ends in September. He, and all his cronies, must go before they destroy OHCHR. Member states and civil society must act to find a suitable High Commissioner. We, the staff, need no cronies. We are not afraid of him. We don’t need his empty messages. We say: Stop hypocrisy in the UN. We speak up for our rights! Expose corruption. We need a new High Commissioner for Human Rights." and not one lame duck Guterres might appoint. Where is USUN on this? And on UN banning Inner City Press?
