| OHCHR under Volker
Turk Leaving Palais
Wilson by Summer Staff Blame
Him & Guterres

Substack UN GATE,
March 10 â How corrupt
and decrepit has the UN system
become under Antonio Guterres,
in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.
From OHCHR
staff: "Dear Matthew Russell
Lee, We are so grateful for
your tireless efforts to
expose corruption in todayâs
UN under Antonio
Guterres, âfeminist in
chiefâ who leads the dismissal
of young women under his UN80
agenda. Today is a sad
day in OHCHR, a day of infamy.
A new low under crony Volker
Turk and soulless deputy Nada
al Nashif. Today corrupt
Nada al Nashif announced that
OHCHR will soon relinquish its
emblematic HeadQuarters in
Geneva (see message to all
staff below), the Palais
Wilson, blaming the financial
crisis. This is the impact of
corruption, nepotism and
mismanagement in todays OHCHR.
The truth is that OHCHR is a
cleptocracy run by a gang of
cronies that have wasted the
organization funds, grant
promotions to themselves and
their relatives while firing
young colleagues (mainly women
and whistleblowers ) and close
important field presences (all
field offices in Colombia were
closed. How many staff were
fired in order to keep the
salary and promotion to crony
Scott Campbell?). The truth is
that in the last years money
has been wasted in useless
initiatives like UDHR75, the
Knowledge Hub, the Inquiries
branch, the diversity adviser,
the empty Vienna officeâ¦..etc
at the expense of real real
rights work. Volker
Turk, Nada al Nashif, corrupt
Kim Taylor, Maarit Kohonen,
Peggy Hicks, Julietta de
Ribero, Beatrix Balbin,
Matthias Behnke, Michael
Camilleri, Francesco Motta,
Mohammed Al Ansour, Veronica
Birga, they must all be held
accountable. They depleted the
accounts while the staff
losses their jobs. OHCHR needs a new
High Commissioner.
Narcissist Volker Turk
must go before he destroys
OHCHR. âDear
colleagues,
I am writing to confirm that
we have begun preparations to
move all staff in Palais
Wilson to the H Building at
Palais des
Nations. In
the revised 2026 budget, the
UN at Geneva (UNOG) proposed
vacating Palais Wilson and the
relocation of all OHCHR staff
to the Palais des Nations
(PdN) as a cost-saving measure
and in line with the approved
Strategic Heritage Plan (SHP).
This proposal was formally
approved by the General
Assembly in December 2025. As
renovations of Palais des
Nations are advancing, space
will be freed up in the H
building in June/July 2026.
Palais Wilson will surely be
greatly missed by many, but
for the first time in many
years, all OHCHR Geneva will
be gathered in one building
and this, I hope you will
agree, holds great promise for
our Office.
Move dates The exact
relocation dates are yet to be
confirmed. The current lease
for Palais Wilson expires on
30 June 2026, however the move
is subject to the finalisation
of PdN renovations and the
subsequent availability of
appropriate space in the H
building. If needed, the lease
will be extended on a
month by month basis.
Colleagues in PSMS are working
closely with UNOG to plan the
relocation and determine when
the move can begin.
Consultations with entities
impacted by the move The
PSMS Move Team will begin
scheduling bilateral
consultations with heads of
entities currently located in
Palais Wilson on space
allocation in the H building.
The Move Team will take note
of special considerations for
each entity, including periods
during which a move may not be
feasible due to operational
reasons, in order to ensure a
smooth, orderly, staggered
implementation.
Planning the move Once
dates and locations have been
finalized, the Move Team will
work with UNOG, SHP
counterparts and designated
focal points within each OHCHR
entity to plan the move in
detail. Focal points
from specialized areas such as
Records Management and
Archives will reach out to
Divisions bilaterally to
discuss actions that need to
be taken prior to the
moves. Next
steps As we embark on
this process, we will ensure
that you are kept informed and
have opportunities to engage
with the Move Team, through
various meetings,
consultations, and
announcements. Useful
information on the move
including frequently asked
questions will also be posted
on the OHCHR Move Team page on
the
intranet. In
the coming weeks, you will
receive guidance on early
actions you can take to
prepare for the move. These
actions include decluttering,
taking home personal items you
may currently have in your
office or disposing of
unwanted papers and items.
Please be assured that your
operational requirements will
be fully considered in
planning your H Building
location and move dates. All
efforts will be made to ensure
the move is conducted
smoothly, with minimal
disruption to your
work. You
may reach out to
ohchr-hbuilding at un.org with
general questions about the
moves or contact Ms. Sunari
Silva, Chief, General
Administrative Services with
any specific questions you may
have. Dear
colleagues, At a
difficult time for the world,
for the UN and for our Office,
this is an opportunity for us
to further strengthen our ties
and work together more
effectively with greater
synergies â both within OHCHR
and with the wider UN family
in Geneva. I count on your
cooperation, solidarity, and
team spirit as we continue to
adapt and innovate in this
challenging
context! Warm
regards, Nadaâ " Inner City Press
re-applied to re-enter the UN
on June 19, 2025 - no answer
at all from Melissa Fleming,
Tel Mekel, Stephane Dujarric
for six months, then a denial
with no reason at all given.
Today's UN is corrupt.
