UN Staff Critics of Rights Commish Volker Turk Trash His Position on France and Protest

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

UN GATE, Oct 19 – How corrupt and decrepit has the UN system become under Antonio Guterres, in this case due to Guterres? Today's example is again from the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights, to which Guterres appointed his unqualified crony Volker Turk more than two years ago.

From OHCHR staff - "Dear Matthew Russell Lee, Many thanks for exposing corruption in the UN...

Double standards and hypocrisy are at the core of todays UN.  Volker Turk personifies double standards like no other UN senior official. “Volkie” or “Guterres Poodle” as many know him, has been very selective about the use of his public voice always making sure he would not endanger his own situation. French (as well as EU, German and Austrian support) was central to secure his fraudulent reappointment for four years.

France is not Volkie’s  only embarrassing silence.  Once upon a time the High Commissioner was the moral voice of the UN in favor of the victims. Now it is the empty platitude of a narcissist risk adverse bureaucrat.

Will Amb Waltz and Amb Steggerda hold SG candidates accountable and force them to seriously look into OHCHR mismanagement?

For now, doesn't look like it. Inner City Press remains banned from the UN, despite July 25, 2026 application, and its questions are not being answered... Watch this site.
