COURTHOUSE,
Oct 20 รข A year after
testifying as a cooperator in
a securities fraud trial in
the Southern District of New
York, Mark Lisser on October
20 was sentenced to time
served. Neither his
sentencing memo, nor the
Government's, were in the
public docket on the day of
sentencing. Inner
City Press went to the
sentencing, where there were
four other people in the large
courtroom gallery. It was said that
Lisser's son's name will be
redacted - in fact, nothing of
this will be put in the docket
until after a joint letter a
week after Lisser's sentencing
in EDNY. There, he
told Judge Azrack that he used
marijuana heavily. That came
up, briefly, in his cross
examination in SDNY. Asked if
drugs "destroyed your
cognitive abilities," he said
"You could say that." You could -
but it might be redacted. The case
is USA v. Lisser, 1:24-cr-341
(Furman) The trial he
testified at was USA v.
Castillero, et al.,
1:23-cr-622 (Furman)
