Man Who Pled to Selling Fentanyl in DC Gets 63 Months and $13000 Forfeiture Stayed Until Out

DDC COURTHOUSE, April 15 –   From May to July 2025, law enforcement made controlled buys of fentanyl from Pierre Black in a store on H Street, Northeast in the District of Columbia.    He was arrested, detained and then pled guilty.

On April 15 he was up for sentencing before U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Carl J. Nichols. Inner City Press was there, in the gallery along with at least three of the defendant's family members.

Judge Nichols noted that both side had agreed to a 63 month sentencing guideline. When it was Mr. Black's opportunity to speak, he apologized to his family. He got the 63 months, plus $13,000 in forfeiture.   Judge Nichols asked if any of that had been seized by the police.

The Assistant US Attorney, filling in for another, said that she didn't know.  The obligation to pay was stayed until 30 days after Mr. Black gets out of prison.

The case is USA v. Black, 1:25-cr-290 (Nichols)
