Man Who Took 15 Year Old From Binghamton to The Bronx for Abuse Sentenced to 40 Years

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 24รข€“ A 31 year old man is charged with taking a 15 year old girl from Binghamton to The Bronx, New York and sexually assaulting her, forcing her to have sex with others for money.

He was presented before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Jennifer E. Willis. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag court.

He was assigned a lawyer from the Federal Defenders, who usually argue for release on bond, regardless.

In this case, they consented to detention - without prejudice to a future application.

On July 1, 2024 the case was indicted and assigned to District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil.

On May 5, 2025 Judge Vyskocil docketed that trial is set for November 3, with any motions in limine due before that.

On October 7 Wallace's lawyer filed a "reply memorandum in support of defendant's motions in limine" - with all content redacted.

On November 3 the US Attorney's Office wrote in to say Wallace disagrees with their proposed jury charge that the interstate bus through PA and NJ, and the phone, satisfy Count 2.

Jump cut to June 16, 2026 when Wallace's lawyers wrote in asking for a below-Guidelines sentence of 20 years on June 24.

On June 24 Inner City Press went. Judge Vyskocil sentenced him to 40 years, noting that he intends to appeal and disputing the idea there was any trial penalty.

The case is USA v. Wallace, 1:24-cr-411 (Vyskocil)
