Matthew & Russell Lee, Patreon Substack 100 CENTRE ST, June 22 รข Two defendants accused of mis-using American Express cards to buy luxury goods to the tune of $1.8 million are on trial before Justice April A. Newbauer in 100 Centre Street. On June 22, the owner of Tarrytown Jewelers - in Hartsdale - took the stand along with the purchase orders and depictions of specialty watches. Inner City Press was there: Tarrytown Jewelers is at 273 North Central Avenue not in Tarrytown but in Hartsdale NY. ADA: What do you do there? Witness: I oversee. I have 7 employees. They do sales, expediting. ADA: Do you keep records? Witness: Yes, invoices of sales. ADA: Where do you maintain them? Witness: In the store and on computer. ADA: I ask the Court Officer to hand you People's Exhibit 12. What is this? Witness: A disk. I initialed it. It has sales records from Tarrytown Jewelers... That is a representation of a watch Witness: That is the batch total - a representation of credit card receipts for the previous day. That trial continues. Meanwhile before Justice Curtis J. Farber a defendant seeking reconsideration of a previous decision spoke up for himself, citing a case Farber had as a defense attorney in 2009. "I remember that case," Justice Farber said, nodding - then to his credit (or Silvertongue's) encouraging the motion for reconsideration. Inner City Press will stay on the cases
