NYS Justice Farber Pushes Back an Arraignment on Affidavit As Letter to Make Weinstein Exhibits Available Pends

100 Centre Street, May 4 – In the Harvey Weinstein trial, NYS Justice Curtis Farber on Friday, May 1 told the jurors that they need not come back until Tuesday, May 5, as Monday was his calendar day.

Inner City Press on Monday, May 4 went to see Justice Farber's calendar day. It included a defendant who came in under his own steam, not in detention - but was remanded, taken to the holding cell after attempting to speak for himself.

Justice Farber, who told the Weinstein juror to forgive him for standing up during the trial day, saying his back acts on, now on his motion day had a standing desk to work at, making him less than visible when he sat down behind it.

Several defendants were described as "produced but not before the court." Another defendant had his arraignment pushed back to Friday, May 8 since his defense lawyer sent in an affidavit that he is on trial elsewhere.

In the Harvey Weinstein trial, Justice Farber has before him a letter request that he order the prosecution and defendant to make their trial exhibits available to the public and press, as for example Justice Carro did after a similar request by Inner City Press.
