Man Who Admitted False Spreadsheet to FINRA Cites Jim Florio Asking No Jail Time

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 1 รข€“ Christopher Ferguson submitted a falsified spreadsheet to FINRA for his family's company Edison Nation, then pleaded guilty.

On May 4 he faced sentencing by U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Colleen McMahon. Inner City Press is covering the case.

Ferguson is represented by Brad Bondi of Paul Hastings, who writes that "Chris' entrepreneurship earned him the trust of former NJ Governor Jim Florio - for whom he went on to manage investments.

He argues, "Chris deep regrets the critical lapse in judgment that led to this conviction," and asks for no jail time.

The case is USA v. Ferguson, 1:26-cr-31 (McMahon)
