SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 8 รข€“ A Quechua indigenous man from Ecuador in ICE detention in the Orange County Jail filed a habeas corpus petition in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it.

The petition says he has one prior non-criminal violation for disorderly conduct, and that he entered the US on or about May 11, 2019 into Roma, Texas. He was violently assaulted in Port Chester, New York.

The case was assigned to Judge Jesse George G. Daniels.

The case is J.A.M. v. Genalo, et al., 1:26-cv-5801 (Daniels)
