Man From El Salvador Says He Was Detained by Nassau County PD Working with ICE so Habeas

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 13 รข€“ A 44-year-old man from El Salvador in ICE detention filed a habeas corpus petition in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it.

The petition says he has a prior violation for reckless endangerment, and that he has been living in the US for 21 years. It says that those who detained me "worked for the Nassau County Police Department... working with ICE."

The case is J.H.V. v. Arteta, et al., 1:26-cv-5895 (Unassigned)
