Defense: His family may not be able to put
together bail right away but we are requesting it.
Assistant District Attorney: He was
previously convicted of a home invasion robbery in Miami
in 2013, then in Nevada concealed weapon.
Defense: He was asleep when arrested. His
aunt says she adopted him, she supports him. His sister
lives in Brooklyn and cares. He has family ties... He has
worked with CASES Supervised Release before, on two prior
Manhattan cases. He has been trying to set up a business
in New York. I've seen the arrest video. He did not try to
evade, he spoke with detectives
Judge: He is 31, he scores a 20 or 25 on
the CJA with limited contacts in the state of New York. I
do believe that some monetary bail in warranted. I will
not remand him. I will set bail at $375,000, $825,000 in
insurance company bond or $150,000 in credit card.
