COURTHOUSE,
April 3 รข A man convicted in
2018 after firing a gun in
front of 300 Cherry Street on
Manhattan's Lower East Side
was up for a Violation of
Supervised Release sentencing
on April 3 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni.
Inner City Press was
there. Defense
counsel had written in that
his client pled guilty in
state court to burglary in the
third degree, with a promised
sentence of two to four years
in prison set for May
6. Judge Caproni
asked why he continued to
violate the law, He responded
that prisons are violent, that
is in alone in that his mother
has dementia, that the drug
programs he has been sent to
are "full of crackheads" - Exactly,
Judge Caproni said. She
imposed sentencing of 20
month, recommending that it be
consecutive to states two to
four years. She said there
will be no more federal
supervised release to follow.
The case is, or was, USA v. Bueno, 18-cr-389 (Caproni)
