Man Misidentified as Damion Williams Pleads Not Guilty to Gun in Bronx Nail Salon

Man Misidentified as Damion Williams Pleads Not Guilty to Gun in Bronx Nail Salon

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 12 รข€“ A man with his left arm in a sling pled not guilty on March 12 to an indictment for being a felon in possession of a gun. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court.

The underlying complaint describes police responding to reports on a gun fight, and finding this defendant in a nail salon, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his left arm. There is a photo.

Surveillance video captured a gun fight, and says "the Firearm that was discarded in Store-1 by DAMION WILLIAMS, the defendant" - but that's the wrong last name, maybe a Freudian slip in light of the previous US Attorney for the SDNY.

The defendant remains detained. The case has been assigned to District Judge Lorna G. Schofield.

It is USA v. Doyle, 1:26-cr-80 (Schofield / Gary Stein)
