Man Who Pled Guilty to Investment Advisor Fraud Wants 6 Months Citing Absent Father by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 5 – A man charged with investment advisor fraud  is up for sentencing on August 11 before Judge Edgardo Ramos in the U.S District Court for the Southern District of New York, which Inner City Press closely covers.    His Federal Defender, asking for a sentence of six month imprisonment followed by six months of home detention, describes him as a doting father. The sentencing memo, complete with photos of his daughter, describes his father as absent, and his mother as abusive.    His plea agreement sets forth restitution; his lawyer says "he is committed to satisfying the restitution order."
