who says ICE detained him
after summoning him with a
check-in letter filed a habeas
corpus petition in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
where Inner City Press found
it. The
petition says he entered the
US in February 2021 with a
visa, and applied for asylum
in February 2025. A habeas
corpus petition was filed on
his behalf in SDNY, and
assigned to Judge Gregory H.
Woods He ordered that he not
be removed from SDNY, EDNY or
New Jersey absent further
order of the Court. He has
asked for an answer. The case is
Blanco Donado v. Genalo, et
al., 1:26-cv-6778 (Woods)
