against a crypto promoter was
heard but put over on May 19
by U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff due to
lack of diligence in serving
the lead defendant. Inner City
Press live tweeted it to the
end. A co-defendant, it
emerged off the record, is in
Australia and will require a
lengthy Hague Convention
process. The thread: OK, now in case
against Shaw Walters and Eliza
Labs and "AI16Z DAO" - DLA
Piper says they represent the
first two, but the DAO can't
be sued. Judge Rakoff: Why
haven't you served Mr.
Walters? Plaintiffs' lawyer:
We sent a process server to
his address. Judge: Where?
Plaintiffs' lawyer: In San
Francisco. He was unavailable.
Judge Rakoff: I
am not going to move the case
forward on this basis: 1
