SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 22 – Kenneth Hoyt was sentenced to 24 months in prison in 2021, to be followed by supervised release, for failure to register as a sex offender, by U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge P, Kevin Castel.

On April 21, 2023, Inner City Press was covering the SDNY Magistrates Court when Kenneth Hoyt was brought in.

He was charged with a violation of supervised release involving social media.

His CJA lawyer asked when he hadn't been charged faster. The AUSA said the violations continued through March 2023.

Hoyt was detained, but with a preliminary hearing on April 26 until Judge Castel holds a proceeding by then, the Magistrate said.

The case is US v. Hoyt, 13-cr-148 (Castel)
