Indictment in Gun Running Case Ranging from Maine Through NY to Dominican Republic

SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 19 – Four defendants charged in a gun-running and obstruction of justice conspiracy were arraigned together on April 19. Inner City Press was there.

U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge P. Kevin Castel held the arraignment. The four defendants were seated in the jury box.

One is described in the indictment has selling a rifle from Maine, transported through New York, then shipped to "an individual in the Dominican Republic."

It is not, then, a typical "Iron Pipeline" case of the type repeatedly alluded to at the House Judiciary hearing in New York City's 26 Federal Plaza earlier in the week.

The AUSA said that subpoenas have been served on Meta for social media accounts. Judge Castel set a next conference for July 13 at 4 pm, and excluded time under the Speedy Trial Act until then.

The case is US v. Guerrero, et al., 22-cr-629 (Castel)
