In FTX Bankman Fried Civil Case Shaq Absent From Motion of Celebrity Defendant All In

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon

SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 7 – Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX was indicted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, leading to his arrest in the Bahamas on December 12, and extradition to the US on December 21.

On March 27, Bankman-Fried's lawyers filed a sealed version of conditions it said DOJ agreed to - adding that "the Government does not object to the sealing request." Full letter on Patreon here.

The inexplicable double standards continue.

In the civil Garrison case, this: "Defendants Thomas Brady, Gisele Bündchen, Kevin O’Leary, David Ortiz, Udonis Haslem, Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors, LLC, William Trevor Lawrence, Shohei Ohtani, and Lawrence Gene David (collectively, the “Celebrity Defendants”) respectfully request that the Court establish the page limits for briefing their motions to dismiss due by April 14, 2023."

Absent is Shaquille O'Neal, said to be dodging service of process, and in the Bahamas. He was "all in"...

The civil case is Garrison v. Bankman-Fried 22-cv-23753S.D. Florida.
