SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 22 – Roberto Vega was charged with punching a USPS mail man in the lobby of the NYCHA housing project at 465 East 10th Street.
On April 21, 2023 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Denise L. Cote held a change of plea proceeding. Inner City Press went and covered it.
The complaint has Vega's photographs, and says the assault followed a "brief verbal exchange."
Vega admitted what he did. Sentencing was set for August 3, with sentencing memos due July 21 and July 28.
