SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 27 – Il Valentino Restaurant at 1076 First Avenue was sued for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. Then it closed and lost its lease.
Still, it was urged on July 10 to U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Lewis J. Liman, the case should survive against the landlord.
Recent ADA restaurant decisions by SDNY Chief Judge Colleen McMahon and Judge Lorna G. Schofield were cited.
Judge Liman said he would issues an order dismissing Il Valentino but the case will apparently go forward.
It is Velasquez v. IL Valentino Restaurant Inc. et al., 18-cv-6988 (Liman)
