SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 8 – Workers sued Ollie's To Go Restaurant in 2016. By July 2020, thing fell apart.
On July 8, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Gregory H. Woods held a proceeding, in Mandarin and English. Inner City Press covered it.
On the agenda was the request by the Troy Law Firm to withdraw. Clients of its opposed it, saying they weren't concerned. They were told that was not the purpose of the hearing.
In a game of telephone, they asked if the Judge had been present, since they weren't. Things went downhill from there.
Ultimately, after Troy Law Firm's request to withdraw was granted, plaintiff after plaintiff said they were dropping their claims.
The case is, or was, Chen et al v. WMK 89th Street LLC et., 16-cv-5735 (Woods)
