bags of meth and a phone with
more than 1000 text messages
about selling it is up for
sentencing on August 7 before
Judge Victor Marrero of the
U.S District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
which Inner City Press closely
covers. The US Attorney's
Office is asking for 132
months, noting that he was
previously charged and
sentenced for drug dealing.
They say they want to send a
message to other would-be drug
traffickers. The case is USA v. Martinez, 1:26-cr-127 (Marrero)
