SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 5 รข€“ A man charged with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl pled guilty on March 31, 2026 before Judge Jesse M. Furman in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, which Inner City Press closely covers.

The initial complaint had a photo of "package recovered from Jeep-1," and said that during a search, the defendant's wallet had his ID with his name on it.

Now for the sentencing scheduled for August 6, 2026, he is asking for the five year mandatory minimum.

The case is USA v. Diaz Mejia, et al., 1:25-cr-306 (Furman)
