to armed robbery is up for
sentencing on August 11
before Lewis J. Liman in
the U.S District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
which Inner City Press closely
covers. He is
requesting a time served
sentence, eleven months, on a
guideline of 41 to 51 months. His lawyer
notes that he has worked for
Uber Eats and DoorDash. Then he attempted
to rob a jewelry store in The
Bronx. He says that the gun,
BB gun and knife were carried
by his co-defendants. He is
only 22 years old. The case is USA v. Mata, et al., 1:25-cr-447 (Liman)
