SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 15 – Cotton International sued Westin St. John Hotel Co. and others for not paying its U.S. Virgin Islands gross receipts tax for construction work it did.

On June 15, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John G. Koeltl held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The plaintiff wanted to wait for a motion to dismiss before filing an amended complaint. Judge Koeltl asked, Why wait?

He made the amended complaint due on July 2, with a case management plan or Rule 26(f) report due on August 17.

The case is Cotton International, Inc. v. Westin St. John Hotel Co., Inc. et al., 21-cv-2099 (Koeltl)
