SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 21– Joel Davis was a founder of "Youth to End Sexual Violence in 2014, which grew out of 2014 global summit meeting on sexual violence organized in part by Angelina Jolie, actress and United Nations special envoy on the topic.

Joel Davis was invited to give a speech at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, it was said at his sentencing on June 21, 2021. Inner City Press asked UNSG Antonio Guterres' spokesman Stephane Dujarric - no answer.

In 2018 Joel Davis was charged with pedophilia, with the US Attorney's press release citing a nine year old and even a toddler.

On January 16 Joel Davis pled guilty to reduced charges, involving a 15-year old. U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York Judge George B. Daniels asked Joel Davis to say in his own words what he did.

Joel Davis said that he had been arranging for adult sex through Grindr when he arranged to have sex with a 15-year whom he thought was older but knew to be less than 18, a crime. His allocution did not mention any 9 year old or toddler.

Joel Davis apologized to the Court, but also said that in his year and a half so far in jail he has been "fighting invisible wars" with himself. He said "there are categories of violence, but no categories of victims." He was a student at Columbia University; he told Judge Daniels his education had gone until "senior year of college."

His Federal Defender pointed out an error in the plea agreement about the mandatory term of supervised release. Assistant US Attorney Juliana Murray acknowledged the mistake and said it would be corrected.

The sentencing was set for May 7, 20202 (then delayed) and Inner City Press which was the only media in Judge Daniels' courtroom for the guilty plea covered the sentencing when it finally happened on June 21, 2021.

It was described how Joel Davis spoke at the UN. He was sentenced to 13 years. Inner City Press asked in writing Antonio Guterres, Amina J. Mohammed, Melissa Fleming and Stephane Dujarric: "What are the comments and actions if any of SG Guterres on that on June 22, 2021 Joel Davis was sentenced by SDNY court to 13 years for child sex abuse and trafficking after being invited to give a speech at the UN Commission on the Status of Women in March 2018?"

No answer, just like these officials refused to answer on Ghislaine Maxwell having a press conference in the UN.

This case is US v. Davis, 18-cr-685 (Daniels).
