On Haiti Cholera UN's Ban Lies in Writing While Guterres Spox Lies & Bans Press

UN GATE, June 9 -- In Haiti where the UN brought cholera killing more than 10,000 people without paying a penny, ghoulishly on Oct 20, 2020 Antonio Guterres' and Ban Ki-moon's invisible Moonie rep issued a statement as Guterres had the Press roughed up and banned now for 1073 days and counting.

While Guterres has turned out to be worse, a censor, Ban has lied in his memoir, noted even by the New York Times: "An article on Monday about Ban Ki-moon’s memoir included comments from the book that misstated details of a lawsuit filed on behalf of Haitians affected by the cholera epidemic that ravaged the country after the 2010 earthquake. It was a class-action lawsuit that named five plaintiffs, filed in federal court in 2013, that sought unspecified damages from the United Nations and Mr. Ban, who was then the United Nations secretary general. The suit was not, as Mr. Ban recalled in the book, filed in 2011 by 500 plaintiffs who sought $40 billion."

Meanwhile Guterres' (and Ban's) corrupt spokesman Stephane Dujarric, who repeatedly said the UN didn't bring cholera to Haiti then banned the Press, on June 8, 2021 said "I'm not going to comment on Mr. Ban's memoirs, which I think are being released this week. And I would... and what our position [was] and is on the litigation that's now being adjudicated, I would refer you to what we said at the time, and that continues to stand.            Our focus right now continues to be on combating cholera in Haiti, in full partnership with the Haitian authorities, by investing in all the necessary infrastructure. You know, on the plus side, we've seen two consecutive years have passed without a single case of cholera anywhere in Haiti.            And, as you mentioned, you know, our efforts for the new approach remains underfunded, but I'm not going to relitigate what we've already said. I think we've spoken a lot from this podium about Haiti, and what we said stands... We continue to be present in Haiti through our political office, our humanitarian work. We're continuing to be there with the people of Haiti and we continue to be there after Haiti has faced a number of storms during the last year, during the hurricane season. We continue to be there to help support their health system. We are continuing to be present and help the people of Haiti." Yeah - by killing them and lying about it. Watch this site.

Guterres made this misleading statement at a Haiti memorial: "Among the many challenges, the United Nations deeply regrets the loss of life and suffering caused by the cholera epidemic. I welcome the significant progress that has been made towards eliminating the disease. We are also committed to resolving pending cases of sexual exploitation and abuse."

Guterres uses the word regret reflexively; it is not a coming clean, much less one with any integrity. He says he is "resolving" sex abuse cases while he and Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming cover up all if-asked information about the accelerating UN rapes under his "leadership." Guterres is a fraud, a censoring fraud. We'll have more on this.

On December 18 banned Inner City Press in writing asked Guterres and his spokespeople Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming, "on UN sexual exploitation, what are the belated comments and actions if any of SG Guterres on the study that interviewed approximately 2,500 Haitians about the experiences of local women and girls living in communities that host peace support operations. Of those, 265 told stories that featured children fathered by UN personnel. That 10% of those interviewed mentioned such children highlights just how common such stories really are.  The narratives reveal how girls as young as 11 were sexually abused and impregnated by peacekeepers and then, as one man put it, “left in misery” to raise their children alone, often because the fathers are repatriated once the pregnancy becomes known. Mothers such as Marie are then left to raise the children in settings of extreme poverty and disadvantage, with most receiving no assistance."

Guterres, Fleming, Dujarric and now Farhan Haq are refusing to answer questions about current UN sexual abuse cases. They are covering up, and they are complicit.
