by Matthew Russell Lee, Substack

LITERARY COURTHOUSE, Feb 23 – Miguel Reynoso had testified before, in the trial of Tony Hernandez. How the drug notebooks or ledgers found, and why it took them so long to process them.

After two days of Alex Ardon, rambling cross-examination by Colon, now Renato Stabile would take his turn.

 It did not go well.

Stabile asked Reynoso to translate the banners in the photo of where the guns and notebooks were laid out. Then he asked the interpreter - there were two, taking turns - to translate.

That's not the translator's job, Judge Castel, the corrected himself: interpreter.

He asked, How much longer do you have, Mister Stabile?

At least another hour, Stabile answered.    Judge Castel had said, Waste of time. And so the week ended.
