SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, Dec 7 - In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on December 7, a detention or bond proceeding was begun by Magistrate Judge Valerie Figueredo on a defendant extradited in from Panama the day before on narco trafficking charges.

The defendant was Gerardo Jaramillo-Aleman; his co-defendant was detained on consent back on July 22, 2022. Jaramillo-Aleman also consented to detention, pending an appearance before the assigned District Judge Richard M. Berman on January 10, 2023.
The case is US v. Bedoya-Guevara, et al., 21-cr-715 (Berman)
