Zubaid For Email Compromise Freed on $75000 Bond in SDNY But Must Refrain From Alcohol

SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, Dec 19 -  In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on December 19, a detention or bond proceeding was held by Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein on a man arrested, in initially in California, for wire fraud and identity theft.

  The defendant Joel Zubaid is charged with email compromise schemes. The Assistant US Attorney announced that it was agreeing to Zubaid's release on $75,000 unsecured bond, with standalone location monitoring - and to refrain from alcohol use.

The case is US v. Zubaid, et al., 22-cr-650 (Oetken / Gorenstein)
