SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, Dec 22 - In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on December 22, a change of plea proceeding was held by Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein on a man charged with taking $500 to move a box from one car to another - a box containing, as it turned out, cocaine and fentanyl.

The defendant Jose Aguila Carrasco said he had taken the $500 from "Bianca." The prosecutor added that meant Bianca Acuna, a co-defendenat.
Judge Gorenstein took off his glasses and waited. Counsel conferred, and then the defendant added that he had intentionally not found out what was in the box.
