SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 16 – Ralf Hartmann, owner of copyrights to nine films including "After the Rain" sued Apple for infringing on its copyrights.

On April 15, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Gregory H. Woods held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The parties said they are trying to settle the case; Apple says if it occurred it was de minimus and time barred. Judge Woods said expert discovery is due by September 29, and motions for summary judgment a month after that.

The case is Hartmann v. Apple, Inc., 20-cv-6049 (Woods)
