UN GATE, April 18 – How corrupt has the UN become under Antonio Guterres?
Well, after Guterres grabbed a second five year term in a one-man election by blocking all of those who timely filed paperwork to oppose him - including Inner City Press - now the next UN General Assembly President is set for a one-man election on June 7, 2022.
And the "candidate," next UN PGA, is Hungary's Ambassador Csaba Kőrösi.
Yes, among other things press freedom has been declining under prime minister Viktor Orbán. In 2010, Freedom House's press freedom index ranked Hungary's media as the world's 40th freest. As of 2017, the rank of Hungary's media had dropped to 87th freest.
But it's no surprise: under Guterres, the UN roughed up and still bans Inner City Press, which reported in detail on the UN PGA bribery scandals of John Ashe and Sam Kutesa, and Guterres' ongoing concealment of his links to Kutesa's briber, CEFC China Energy.
Complicit are his Spokespeople Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming, who refuse to answer questions and even a letter from pro bono law firm Quinn Emanuel.
Guterres is entirely corrupting the UN - with Hungary set to take over the only position that could oversee him, since Guterres uses and abuses full legal impunity. We'll have more on this.
