SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 18 – Purificacion Cristobal is charged with distributing oxycodone "outside the scope of a professional practice."

On September 23, 2020 U.S. District Court for the Southern District Judge Katherine Polk Failla held an in-person proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Failla thanked the parties for coming in, adding that this was her fourth in-court proceeding since the COVID pandemic hit.

Jump cut to February 18, 2022 when Judge Failla held another proceeding. Inner City Press again covered it. One defense lawyer wanted to step back, citing sickness; another wanted trial delay as the US Supreme Court reconsiders the applicable standard of knowledge, in Ruan v. United States.

The case is US v. Cristobal, 20-cr-463 (Failla)
