COURTHOUSE,
Feb 27 รขIn December 2024 on
Jennings Street in the South
Bronx a man was arrested when
a gun was found and he was
charged as a felon in
possession. Jump
cut a year to December 18,
2025 when the man was before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Victor Marrero. He
appointed lawyer, from the
major lawfirm of Crowell &
Morning, said he no longer
doubted his client's
competency, and might soon be
moving to try to suppress the
gun. His motion
was said due on January 12,
the Government's response is
due February 2, with a
conference set for March 13 at
3 pm. On January 12 the
motion to suppress was filed -
against the search, and the
post-arrest statements. On February 27
the defense wrote in asking to
push back the March 13 status
conference and saying at that
adjourned date, "should the
Court order a suppression
hearing, the parties will be
prepared to discuss scheduling
for that potential hearing." The case is USA v. Northover, 1:25-cr-87 (Marrero)
