For Killing Girlfriend in Times Square Hotel Wright Gets 22 Years After Manslaughter Verdict

100 CENTRE STREET, Sept 22 – Ernest Wright was up for sentencing on September 22 following his trial conviction of Manslaughter in the 1st for fatally strangling his girlfriend, Kayla Estevez, in a Times Square hotel room in March 2021. Inner City Press went. 

    Wright spoke before Justice Gregory Carro imposed sentence. He said he apologized or offered condolences to the family and friends of the victim, who sat on one side of the courtroom gallery.

   Justice Carro said it was domestic violence, a matter of control in which when the victim when to the hospital, Wright went to ensure that how the injuries were cause was not recorded.   He imposed a sentence of 22 years.  

 Afterward, two women on the other side of the courtroom walked out, one covering her face as she walked by the media
