COURTHOUSE,
June 2 รข A man charged with
the gunpoint robberies of
restaurant patrons in NoHo -
McDougall Street, Minetta
Lane, Bleeker Street - was
presented in U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court on June 2.
Inner City Press was
there. Magistrate
Judge Gary Stein read out loud
the seven charges against the
defendant. The case is federal
because of the Hobbs Act. There is a
co-defendant, who it seems
will be put in a different
prison, Essex in New Jersey
rather than the MDC, where
this defendant was
headed. His CJA
lawyer consented to detention.
The case is USA v. Amarante Bolivar, 1:26-mj-1986 (Gary Stein)
