Malaysia Telecom Officials Charged with Diverting and Selling Broadband Quietly Presented in SDNY

SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 22 -- Three employees of a Malaysia based telecommunications company have been arrested and are being presented - and released - in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Inner City Press has found their cases in the SDNY Magistrates Court.

  They are accused of telling the Malaysia parent company they were selling more broadband capacity than they were to US customers - then reselling the rest. They were fired in February 2026 and now arrested.

   Two were presented in SDNY Mag Court on April 22 and released on bond, in one case secured by a property in Falls Church, Virginia. The third defendant is due to be presented on April 23.

  The case is USA v. Lockman, et al., 1:26-mj-1397 (Ricardo)
