COURTHOUSE,
Oct 28 รข Anna Mochalova was
arrested at 4:30 am on October
24 in Brooklyn for a transit
violation - occupying two
seats. She gave a
non-existent address and said
her primary language is
Russian. She was linked to
anti-Semitic attacks and moved
to Manhattan for
arraignment. While she was
offered release on bail, she
could not pay it. She was
detained on Rikers
Island. Then the
Southern District of New York
brought Federal charges and on
October 28 announced that "ANNA MOCHALOVA
was arrested on charges of
committing hate crimes in
connection with her assaults
of two Jewish men in and
around the Diamond District in
Manhattan on October 21,
2026. MOCHALOVA was
transferred from state custody
earlier today." But as
October 28 passed into October
29, in PACER there was only
one document in the case: a
letter requesting detention
without the possibility of
release on bond, a document
routinely made public in EDNY
but almost never in
SDNY. This is now on
Patreon here.
The case is USA v. Mochalova, 1:26-mj-4522 (Unassigned)
