UN GATE, March 10 – How corrupt is today's UN under Antonio Guterres? Today's follow up, the first but certainly not last, is yet once again on his mission in Colombia, about which his spokespeople Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming refuse all Press questions. Inner City Press has asked them, and others, about the newest sex abuse case against the UN there. Now this, from UN whistleblowers through Inner City Press:
Colleagues previously reported the scandal at UNVMC (mission in Colombia), regarding the selection as CMS of Yang Wang, who was chosen solely because of his Chinese nationality, not his skills or experience, as he has none.
His focus is on ensuring the team is physically present in the office, but he never talks about goals, vision, or results. The only thing he cares about is our physical presence at our desks, regardless of whether we’re watching YouTube or playing cards.
The Ombudsman is visiting next week to address these complaints and the toxic environment he has created, but what does Yang do? He goes on vacation to avoid the issue. And what is absurd is that the SRSG allows it. Yang is so weak that Chief HR Mar Brusola uses him as a puppet to continue manipulating recruitments and hiring inexperienced, unprofessional, and unethical friends. This situation needs to be fixed before it becomes too late, or else we risk losing our job if the mission is shut down due to inefficiency
