A December 4 conference was postponed after Cuomo's lawyer filed a letter saying a protective order is needed to stop Bennett's counsel from speaking to the press about NYS taxpayers paying for Cuomo's defense. Letter on Patreon here.
On December 6 Bennett's lawyer opposed any gag order, and reiterated her claims, including that Cuomo told "Ms. Bennett he was “lonely,” was “looking for a girlfriend,” and wanted to “get on a motorcycle and take a woman into the mountains'"- letter on Patreon here
On December 9, Bennett dismissed her case, saying that Cuomo litigation abuse was causing mroe pain. Her lawyers said her state case against the State of New York goes forward, "We are currently engaged in settlement discussions with the State of New York and former Governor Cuomo, in his most recent letter to the federal court, has threatened to interfere with that process. In dismissing the federal case we thus hope that our client will be able to resolve this dispute and finally be made whole for all the damage Mr. Cuomo and his agents caused her.”
