Rapper Anuel AA Is Sued for Use in Song of Yo Amo Miami Sculpture by Artist Santiago

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 21 – Rapper Anuel AA a/k/a Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago has been sued for using the Yo Amo Miami sculpture of Juan Carlos Rojas, without licensing.

   The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, which Inner City Press closely covers and where it found the complaint in the docket. 

  The statue is in the form of a cross or crucifix, with the words Don Kush at the bottom.

It appears in Anuel AA's song "Mejor Que Yo."

 The complaint contains a photo from the video, with lyrics below.

 The case is Rojas v. Sony Music Entertainment, et al., 23-cv-7365 (Engelmayer)
